Ambience Profiling is an in-person interpretation – a considered translation of your environment's materials, rhythms, and character into a curated fragrance identity. We provide the the olfactory layer that brings emotional coherence to what architecture and design have begun.
A space reveals its character over time, through usage. The weight of a door closing, the way afternoon light falls on textured limestone, the particular stillness of a library at dawn. These kinds of qualities cannot be catalogued from afar.
The Consultation
On-site immersion – Time spent in the space observing how it functions. How light and sound move through rooms. The textural language of materials and finishes. The rhythm of transition between areas.
Collaborative interpretation – Through conversation and shared observation, we define spatial character: formality or ease, weight and brightness, relationship to the natural world outside.
Curated fragrance directions – Drawing from Viveur's Vignettes, we identify scents that echo and enhance existing qualities rather than masking or competing with them.
Implementation guidance – Training for household teams on fragrance placement, seasonal adjustment, and maintaining olfactory coherence across different areas.
The Scope
The Ambience Profile encompasses up to three signature areas within a property – primary living spaces, private quarters, entertaining zones. For estates with more expansive requirements or multiple buildings, we develop tailored proposals accordingly.
